HUBBARD Robert E. Schulte, Sr., 75, died Tuesday morning, September 6, 2011 at O'Brien Memorial Nursing Home. He was born May 10, 1936 in Youngstown, a son of Carl and Myrtle Clark Schulte and was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Schulte was Co Owner of Schulte Auto Wrecking, retiring in 2003. He served with the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3307 in Youngstown. Robert loved to cook and his passions were his automobiles.
He leaves his wife, the former Emily S. Newell, whom he married March 11, 1994; three sons, Robert (Debbie) Schulte, Jr. of Hubbard, Louis Schulte of St. Petersburg, FL and Frederick J. (Beth) Schulte of Hubbard; a daughter, Denise (Doug Romo) Schulte of Austintown; two stepsons, Andrew (Dayne) Adkins, Jr. and Thomas Adkins both of Hubbard and a stepdaughter, Kimberly (Larry) Schuler of Boardman.
Robert also leaves two brothers, John (Vie) Schulte, Sr. of Hubbard and Dan Schulte of Conneaut, PA; a sister, Elizabeth Novosel of Stephens City, VA and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Michael Schulte and a sister, Helen Holes.
