GARLAND, TX Robert W. Peterson Sr., 67 died Saturday evening, March 3, 2007, at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas, TX. He was born July 14, 1939, in Sharon, PA, a son of Stanley and Rhoda Perrine Peterson and has lived in Texas since 1986.

Mr. Peterson sold life insurance most of his working career and recently worked for Lone Star Circuits, retiring in 2004. Prior to this he was a customer service representative for J. C. Penney.

A graduate of Kentucky Christian University with a degree in ministry, Bob was a member of the Lakeview Christian Church in Garland, TX and helped establish churches. He was a Boy Scout leader for over 20 years, enjoyed growing Bonsai trees, camping and served with the U.S. Navy.

In addition to his mother, Rhoda Peterson of California, he leaves his wife, the former Donna L. Dripps, whom he married July 2, 1960; one son, Robert W. (Davetta) Peterson, Jr. of Wallingford, KY; two daughters, Brenda Peterson and Deborah (Jeffrey) Skaggs, both of Royse City, TX; one adopted daughter, Darla Larey of Royse City, TX; one brother, James Peterson of California; three grandchildren Megan and Ashley Peterson and Rachel Skaggs.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, George Peterson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard, OH.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm.
