HUBBARD Robert "Bob" Lukach, 70, of Hubbard, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday evening, May 11, 2005, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. He was born March 24, 1935, in Youngstown, a son of John and Mary Bennett Lukach and lived in Hubbard since 1959.
Mr. Lukach was employed over the years at Century Foods, Youngstown Steel, Bearings Inc., The Vindicator and Isaly's Dairy; retiring from Superior Dairy in 1997 and most recently worked at Home Depot in Niles. He was a 1953 graduate of East High School and enjoyed golfing and spending time with his grandchildren. Bob was a Cub Scout Master of Troop #103 at St. Patrick Church and was also active in coaching youth baseball in Hubbard. He was a member of St. Patrick Church in Hubbard, serving on the bingo, festival and dance committees.
He leaves his wife, the former Jo Ann Leonelli, whom he married on July 24, 1954; three sons, Robert C. (Judith) Lukach of Hubbard, Raymond A. (Mary Beth) Lukach of Boardman and Ronald P. (Lisa) Lukach of Howland; one daughter, Karen M. (James) Tauro of Struthers; a brother, William Lukach of Mansfield; two sisters, Barbara Bartos of Hubbard and Patricia Tuchek of Youngstown; 10 grandchildren, Joseph, Jennifer, Kristin, David, Jenna, Mary Jo, Nicholas, Mathew, Veronica, Alyssa and 1 great-grandchild, Abigail Jo.
His parents, a sister, Margaret Brickman and an infant brother, John, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 9:15 a.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
