HUBBARD Robert E. Jones Jr., 90, died Sunday, October 19, 2008. He was born May 11, 1918, in Mercer, PA, a son of Robert E. and Hazel Hovis Jones and lived most of his life in this area.

Mr. Jones worked for Wonder Bread and Hostess Cake for over 40 years retiring in 1983. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hubbard, Wick Lodge No. 481 F&AM, Aut Mori Grotto, Saxon Club, and the American Legion No. 888, all of Youngstown. He also belonged to the Moose Lodge of Niles and the Italian American Club of Sharon. Bob was a 1938 graduate of South High School and served with the Navy during World War II in the Philippines.

His wife, the former Ruth Fox, whom he married July 3, 1943, died February 3, 1976. He leaves a son, William N. (Zarie) Jones of Miami Shores, FL; a daughter, Virginia (Donald) Marhofer of Northville, MI; his beloved companion of many years, Mary McConnell of Hubbard; five grandchildren Eric (Angela) Marhofer, Brian Marhofer, Jason Marhofer, Jennifer Jones and Kevin Jones.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, NOVEMBER 8, at the First United Methodist Church, Hubbard.
