HUBBARD A memorial service will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard for Mr. Robert E. Fobes, 80 of 283 Jacobs Rd., who died Wednesday at his home following a long illness.

He was born February 27, 1921 in New Castle PA, a son of George and Frances Fobes and was a lifelong area resident.


Mr. Fobes was a crane operator for Youngstown Sheet & Tube for 30 years before retiring in 1980. He served with the United States Army 82nd Airborne during World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Hubbard Post 3767.

He leaves a son, Jerry Fobes of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter, Linda Sarno of Cocoa, FL; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and his companion, Elizabeth Blestch of Niles, OH.
