LIBERTY Richard L. "Dick" O'Rell, 77, of Liberty, went to be with his Lord on Sunday afternoon, August 17, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Health Center. He was born on August 5, 1931, in Warren, OH, a son of Fred Sr. and Agnes Pyle O'Rell and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. O'Rell worked for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 66 for 54 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of Liberty Presbyterian Church for 47 years, where he was a former deacon and usher and a member of the Friendship and Adventurers Sunday School classes. He was also a member of the Operating Engineers Retiree Club. Dick enjoyed fishing.

He leaves his wife, the former Beverly S. Lytle, whom he married on May 21, 1960; a son, Richard D. (Jennifer Johnson) O'Rell of Struthers; a daughter, Sue Lynn O'Rell of Liberty; a sister, Doris (Ernest) Beardsley of Chagrin Falls and two grandchildren, James L. O'Rell of Liberty and Erica Sue O'Rell of Canfield.

Preceding him in death were his parents, five sisters, Florence Loveless, Frances Scott, Betty Andrews, Jenette Boyd and Ruth Parker and two brothers, Robert and Fred O'Rell Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard, where family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., prior to the services.
