HUBBARD Richard James Karpinski, 58, died Thursday evening, August 13, 2015, at his residence. He was born February 4, 1957 in Sharon, PA, a son of Thomas S. Karpinski Sr. and O. JoAnn Cunningham and was a life-long Hubbard resident.
Mr. Karpinski was a 1975 graduate of Hubbard High School. Richard was a driver for the Purple Cat for three years, and was previously at school bus driver for Youngstown City Schools for 30 years, retiring in 2012. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed playing bingo, computers, going camping and fishing and riding motorcycles and jet skies. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren, especially his live in grandson, Sammy, who was attached to his hip.
Richard leaves his wife, Nanette R. Hyatt, whom he married August 10, 1995; four sons, MM2E5 James R. Watson of San Diego, CA, William (Faith) Watson of Boardman, OH, Sam Lemin of Youngstown, OH and Christopher Lemin of Columbus, OH; three daughters, Tina (Matt) Radtke of Austintown, OH, Linda (Chad) Watson of Diamond and Charlene "Peach" (Dana) Watson of Elyria, OH; two brothers, Thomas S. (Yvonne Stillings) Karpinski Jr. of Hubbard and his twin, Ronald J. Karpinski of Youngstown, OH; two sisters, Karen I. (Bill) Karpinski DeMoss of Hubbard and Sharon L. (Tim Donahue) Pedaline of Hubbard and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and JoAnn and his stepfather, "Tata".
Funeral Services will be held Saturday August 22, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb- Cummins Funeral Home with Pastor Ernie Cunningham officiating.
Calling Hours will be held Friday August 21, 2015 from 5:00PM to 8:00 PM at the Kelley- Robb- Cummins Funeral Home.
Interment will be at the Hubbard Union Cemetery.
