Richard Ebert's Obituary


YOUNGSTOWN Richard T. Ebert, 84, died Monday October 11, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center. He was born April 18, 1926 in Wooster, a son of Harry E. and Ethel McComas Ebert and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Ebert was a shop foreman for J.W. McAuley Awnings and Home Improvement for 40 years and also Susor McAuley for 10 years before retiring in August of 2000. He served with the United States Navy during World War II. Richard enjoyed NASCAR, lottery tickets and loved watching the news.

He leaves his wife, the former Cathleen F. Phibbs, whom he married May 24, 1980; a son, Dale (Robin) Ebert of Austintown; a stepdaughter, Kellee (Phillip) Ryser Forcier of Zephyrhills, FL; twin siblings, Edward (Mary) Ebert and Ethel Miller both of Florida; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Rick Ebert and a daughter, Alesha Dawn Ebert.

Funeral services will be held Friday 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard.

Family and friends may call on Thursday 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Belmont Park Cemetery.
