Obituary
HUBBARD Rebecca Sue Wachtel, 53, died Thursday afternoon August 27, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center. She was born June 12, 1962 in Youngstown, a daughter of Edgar and Henrietta Houser Hivner and lived most of her life in Hubbard.
Mrs. Wachtel, a homemaker, was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, flower gardening, was an excellent cook and loved her children.
She leaves her life partner, Danny Whorten of Hubbard; a son, Brian Wachtel of Baker, FL; a daughter, Christi Leigh (Leo) Remick of Germany; four brothers, John "Jack" (Elaine) Hivner of St. Louis, MO, Larry "Goose" (Cathy) Hivner of Hubbard, Carl (Juanita) Hivner of Mentor and Christopher Hivner and his companion Sue of Hubbard; two sisters, Nancy (Jerry) Young of California, MD and Peggy Phillips of Georgia and two granddaughters, Arabella Rose and Amelia May Remick.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Kate Vestal, Dorothy "Dodi" Whorten and Mary Jane "Murt" Heiss and two brothers, Dan Hivner and George Hivner.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home with Deacon John Bartos officiating.
Family and friends may call on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and also one hour prior to the funeral services on Tuesday, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
