Raymond Dejulio's Obituary


HUBBARD Raymond M. DeJulio, 89, of Hubbard, died Monday morning, June 30, 2008, at his residence. He was born February 2, 1919, in Youngstown, a son of Salvatore and Lucia Campana DeJulio and had lived in Hubbard for over 60 years.

Mr. DeJulio was a self employed contractor for many years and also co-owned and operated the Hubbard Eagle newspaper, along with his brother Al, for over 20 years. He also worked in the sales department for WNIO radio. An avid horse racing fan, Ray enjoyed reading and served with the Army in World War II and also with the Civilian Conservation Corps.

He leaves his wife, the former Mary E. Diego, whom he married August 31, 1946; a brother, Alfred M. DeJulio of Hubbard; two sisters, Della Palmer of Laverne, CA and Eleanor Conti of Palm Desert, CA. Having no children of his own, he was very close to his many nieces and nephews whom he thought of as his own children.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Aldo, John and Robert DeJulio.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm.
