HUBBARD Phyllis Ann Palumbo, 82 of Hubbard, died Friday evening, February 16, 2007, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was born June 25, 1924, in Sharon, PA, a daughter of Samuel and Mary Modarelli Furillo and was a life long area resident.
Phyllis was a homemaker and formerly worked at the Westinghouse Electric Corp, Sharon, PA, during World War II. She was a member of St. Patrick Church, Hubbard and its Bible Study and Legion of Mary. She also was a past president and member of the
Hubbard Conservation Club Auxiliary, the Brookfield Senior Citizens, Nell Kulow Bible Study group, East Ohio Hobby Club, Adua Lodge, Historical Society and a former den mother for the Cub Scouts. She was a Brookfield High School graduate.
Her husband, William J. Palumbo, whom she married May 25, 1946, died May 19, 1998. She leaves one son, David J. (Carol) Palumbo of Boardman; a foster son, Anthony W. Palumbo of Waynesburg, PA; one brother, Michael (Mary) Furillo of Garrettsville, OH; three sisters, Katherine Serban of Masury, OH, Josephine (Stanley) Jones of Sharpsville, PA and Rita Massaro of Niles, OH; one granddaughter, Marie Palumbo
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, 9:15 am at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 am at St. Patrick Church.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, 5 to 8 pm.
