HUBBARD Phyllis J. Hamilton, 80, died Friday afternoon, March 20, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman. She was born October 11, 1928, in Hubbard, a daughter of James and Louise Carano Ross and was a life long Hubbard resident.

Mrs. Hamilton worked for the City of Hubbard for over 30 years and retired in 1987 as the City Auditor. She was a member of St. Patrick Church, Hubbard and enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family.

Her husband, Richard J. Hamilton, whom she married June 16, 1948, died March 15, 2001. She leaves a son, Richard J. (Roberta) Hamilton Jr. of Hubbard; two daughters, Jean DeSantis of Austintown and Joan (Larry) Dripps of Hubbard; two brothers, James and Charles Ross, both of Hubbard; two sisters, Christina Noga of New Bern, NC and Barbara Clark of Hubbard; an aunt, Anna Mae Laczo of Hubbard; five grandchildren, James, Danielle, Patrick, Liz and Jenna.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Robert Scott Hamilton, a sister, Frances Balestrino

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 9:15 am at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 am at St. Patrick Church.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm.
