HUBBARD Philip J. Rosile, 86, of Hubbard, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2006, at Northside Medical Center. He was born on April 6, 1920, in Hubbard, a son of Paul and Mary Rosile and was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Rosile was a machine operator at LTV Steel Corporation for 37 years, retiring in 1980. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and landed at Omaha Beach with the First Armored Division and was discharged in 1945, receiving a Purple Heart. Philip was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Hubbard and enjoyed golfing, fishing and bowling.
Philip is survived by his wife, Alice Gwin Gregory Rosile, whom he married on October 18, 1991; a daughter, Margaret Warnock of Houston, TX; a granddaughter, Heather Warnock of Houston, TX; three stepchildren, John Gregory of Toledo, OH; Jonette Isacco of Boyers, PA and Joyce Krauchuk of Slippery Rock, PA; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Frances Carsone and Margaret LaCivita, both of Hubbard and Phyllis Bellino of Austintown and two brothers, Nicholas Rosile of Cortland and Angelo Rosile of Hubbard.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 37 years, the former Dorothy Shuster, who passed away on August 14, 1980 and his parents.
A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Hubbard at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, where family and friends will be received one hour before the service.
Interment will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
