HUBBARD Funeral services will be held Friday, 9:30 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and 10:00 AM at St Patrick Church, Hubbard for Philip J. Culcasi, 84 of O'Brien Memorial Nursing Home, formerly of Grandview Ave. who died Monday evening at the home.
Mr. Culcasi was born January 2, 1916 in Brooklyn, NY, a son of Jerome and Vivian Cardella Culcasi and lived most of his life in Hubbard. He was a graduate of Youngstown College, with a degree in accounting and served as the Secretary and Treasurer for the Lombard Corporation, Youngstown for 45 years. Having never retired, he was currently serving as Secretary and Treasurer for Lombard Industries, Hubbard, a position he has held for ten years.
Mr. Culcasi was a member of St. Patrick Church, Hubbard, the Hubbard Kiwanis Club, Youngstown Elks Club, Fonderlac Country Club, Oak Tree Country Club and a charter member of the Youngstown Club. He served on the National Board of Directors for the National Association of Accountants and was past president of the Youngstown Chapter. He also was a member of the Youngstown Credit Managers Association. He enjoyed golf and horseback riding.
He leaves his wife, the former Marguerite "Peg" Lombard, whom he married March 25, 1944; two sons, P. Thomas Culcasi of Lemont, IL and James D. Culcasi of Poland; a daughter, Joan L. Homer, of Hubbard; six grandchildren. A brother, James Culcasi and two sisters, Anita Rini and Francine Culcasi are deceased.
Friends may call at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard, Thursday, 4 to 7 PM.
Burial will be in Hubbard Union Cemetery.
Rev. Timothy O'Neill will officiate.
