STRUTHERS Paul C. Hassler Sr., 70 of Struthers, died Saturday afternoon, March 22, 2003, at his residence. He was born November 3, 1932, in Sharon, PA, a son of John and Florence Burnett Hassler and was a life long area resident.

Mr. Hassler worked for Sharon Steel Corp. for 35 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the VFW, Masury, OH and enjoyed flea markets, bingo, working on cars and the CB radio. He was an Air Force veteran serving in the Korean War.

He leaves his wife, the former Ruth Garrett, whom he married May 18, 1957; two sons, Paul C. Hassler Jr. of Struthers and Darrell W. (Linda) Hassler of Austintown; a daughter, Deva (Robert) DuPonty of Canfield; two brothers, James M. Hassler of Higgins, TX and John Hassler of PA; one sister, Lucille Fell of Hubbard; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A daughter, Debra Newsome three brothers, Raymond Burnett, Clarence and Earl Hassler and six step brothers and sisters are deceased.

There is no funeral service.
