HUBBARD Paul L. Riggle, 79, of Hubbard, died Saturday morning, October 8, 2005, at Northside Medical Center. He was born April 2, 1926, in Deep Valley, PA, a son of Orville and Sarah Whipkey Riggle and had lived in Hubbard for 38 years.

Mr. Riggle worked for LTV, Republic Steel Division for 29 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Hubbard Church of the Nazarene, where he was a greeter, and the Hubbard Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post No. 3767. Paul was a former volunteer fireman with the Southington Volunteer Fire Department and enjoyed sports, gardening, helping others and spending time with his family. He served in the Army in World War II as a Military Policeman.

He leaves his wife, the former Lois S. Shaner, whom he married December 16, 1967; three sons, Jack L. (Judith) Riggle of Warren, Jerre L. (Marilyn) Riggle of Howland and Joe A. (Edie) Riggle of Southington; three daughters, Jill Cibella of Warren, Linda J. Nicol and Donna S. (Brian) Carnahan, both of Hubbard; one brother, Jay Riggle of Sebring, OH; one sister, Martha Louise Hopkins of Clarksville, GA; 19 grandchildren, Janet, Jon Paul, Paul, Chip, Kelli, Shane, Michael, Nathan, Anna Marie, Forest, Julie, Jesse, Shannon, Michael, Jared, Cade, Cameron, David, and Hailee; one great grandchild, Allie; two family pets, Spike and Nana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, George, Earl and Phillip Riggle and a daughter, Sandy Matthews Sturgis.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm.
