HUBBARD Mrs. Patricia J. Thornton, 71, of Hubbard, died Wednesday June 12, 2002 at Sharon Regional Health System. She was born December 24, 1930 in Sharon, PA a daughter of Ivan R. and LaVerne Bentley Taylor and lived in Hubbard since 1966 coming from Sharon, PA.

Mrs. Thornton, a homemaker, was a member of the Corner House Christian Church, Hubbard, where she formerly served as the director and member of the choir, youth leader, Bible school and Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed golf, reading, square dancing and singing. She was a 1949 graduate of Sharon High School.

She leaves her husband, Martin E. Thornton whom she married December 17, 1949; two sons, Martin E. (Suzanne) Thornton II of New Castle, PA and Kevin R. Thornton of Hubbard; two daughters, Roxann Shelenberger of New Castle, PA and Heather S. (James) Phibbs of Corona, CA; four grandchildren, Heidi, Luke, Bradley and Samantha and a great grandson, Samuel. A sister, June E. Taylor is deceased.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 11:00 AM at Corner House Christian Church, Hubbard.

Friends may call at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard on Thursday and Friday, 5 to 8 PM.
