HUBBARD Parnell F. Mauk, 84, of Hubbard, died Wednesday evening, April 7, 2004, at Northside Medical Center. He was born June 3, 1919 in Punxsutawney, PA, a son of Malcom and Mary Harl Mauk and had lived in Hubbard since 1965.
Mr. Mauk worked for GATX in Masury for 20 years, retiring in 1983. He was of the Methodist faith, enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting. He also was in the U.S. Army, serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater, during World War II.
He leaves his wife, the former Laura J. Eshbaugh, whom he married October 15, 1947; a son, Randy P. (Alexia) Mauk of Canfield; two daughters, Nancy Meeker of Salem, and Leslie Kovalchik of Howland; a sister, Helen Doverspike of Evan City, PA; four grandchildren, Robert, Jill, Holly and Amy; two great-grandchildren, Chris and Tommy.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Jack Mauk.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.
Friends may call from 11 to 1:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
