HUBBARD With a promise of a new life in heaven, Ora W. Runion joined her husband, Alvin, with open arms on Tuesday, June 28, 2005.
Ora was born on June 19, 1916, in Neola, WV. She was the daughter of Wilson and Lucy Dilley. Ora had four sisters, Nancy, Almeida, Bertha and Mary, along with brothers, Henry and half-brother, Butler, who preceded her in death.
She married Alvin Runion on July 6, 1937 and had fifty beautiful years together.
Ora worked at the Silk Mill in Covington, VA and was a Sunday school teacher, as she served the Lord in many other ways. She and Alvin had two daughters, Carol (Dennis) Mattern of Youngstown, OH and Dolores (Brian) Greagor of Mantua, OH and one granddaughter, Laura Mattern of Youngstown, OH.
Ora was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Youngstown. Her loves were sewing, painting, gardening, her cats, and most of all, her family.
She spent her remaining years at Liberty Health Care Center in Youngstown, winning the hearts of many while she was there; they were also her extended family.
Ora will be remembered and loved always, as we know she would do for us.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday prior to the services.
