HUBBARD Norma Jean Sonny, 81, died Friday afternoon at Northside Hospital Medical Center. She was born January 1, 1933 in Smock, PA a daughter of Andrew and Anna Vohar Cubic and had lived in Hubbard for 61 years.

Mrs. Sonny was a secretary to the Principal of Hubbard High School and worked for the Hubbard Board of Education for 30 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Hubbard Church of the Nazarene and a former member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. Norma was active in various women's groups, and volunteered at Hillside Auxiliary Hospital and the Hubbard Senior Citizens. She enjoyed music and traveling.

She leaves her husband, Andrew Sonny, whom she married May 22, 1954; a brother, George (Madge) Cubic of North Olmstead; a sister, Delores Sees of Masury and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Albert and Andrew Cubic.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 6:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, one hour prior to the funeral services from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hubbard Church of the Nazarene, 1815 Cherry Lane, Hubbard, OH 44425.

Interment will be at Tod Homestead Cemetery in Youngstown.
