HUBBARD Norma Jean Mahon, 66 of East Liberty St. died Saturday afternoon at Northside Medical Center following a short illness. She was born November 2, 1934, in Youngstown, a daughter of Carl and Angaline Alveranzo Chance Sr. and has lived in Hubbard for 42 years coming from Struthers.
Mrs. Mahon was the produce manager for Carano's IGA in Hubbard for 25 years, retiring in November, 2000. She was a member of St. Patrick Church, Hubbard.
Her husband, Paul J. Mahon Sr. died in March, 1990.
She leaves three sons, Richard M. Bobby Jr. of Algonquin, IL, Paul James. Mahon Jr. of Belvidere, IL and James Joseph Mahon of Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada; two daughters, Susan Lee Bobby-Feigenbaum of Las Vegas, NV, Patricia Ann Blake of Hubbard, OH; three brothers, Joseph, Thomas, and Albert Chance, all of Youngstown; two sisters, Anita Greico of Dallas, TX and Loretta Bucher of Scottsdale, AZ; 10 grandchildren. Three brothers, James, Carl Jr. and Philip Chance and three sisters, Phyllis Romeo, Rose Chance and Mary Jane Bielik are deceased.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 9:30 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Church. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, 5 to 8 PM.
Burial will be in Hubbard Union Cemetery.
