HUBBARD Norma G. Goodrich, 87, of Hubbard, died Tuesday morning, December 20, 2005 at Northside Medical Center. She was born April 28, 1918, in Washington, DC, a daughter of Chauncey and Norma Frances Failing Goss and lived in the area since 2001, moving here from Ruskin, FL. Prior to that, she spent most of her life in Columbus, OH.
Mrs. Goodrich was an elementary teacher for the Columbus Public Schools for over 30 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hubbard, the Chautauqua Club of Columbus and the Mr. & Mrs. Class of the Karl Rd. Baptist Church in Columbus.
Her husband, Charles E. Goodrich, whom she married September 1, 1950, died on April 29, 2001.
She leaves a son, the Reverend James E. (Diane) Goodrich of Hubbard; three daughters, Susan (Ken) Demarest of Lawrence, KS, Peggy (Mark) Nelson of Livonia, MI and Nancy Goodrich of Wareham, MA; a brother, Robert (Char) Goss of Sun City Center, FL and eight grandchildren, Joy, Chara and Danielle Goodrich, Eric and Becky Demarest, Katie Nelson, Ron and Angel Goodrich.
Besides her husband, her parents and a grandson, Nathaniel Demarest, preceded her in death.
There are no calling hours or funeral services.
