Obituary


YOUNGSTOWN Mr. Nick Lombard, 92, died Tuesday evening, December 4, 2001, at The Inn At Christine Valley, Youngstown. He was born January 3, 1909 in Youngstown, a son of Angelo and Mary Bianco Lombard and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Lombard was a crane operator for Youngstown Sheet & Tube for 39 years before retiring in 1971. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Youngstown where he was an usher for 40 years and a member of the Senior Citizens Group. He was a member of the Campbell Senior Citizens and Hubbard Senior Citizens and the Young at Heart Club, Youngstown. Nick was well known for his prize-winning produce at the Canfield Fair, was an avid card player and loved hunting and fishing.

His wife, the former Theresa M. Lombard whom he married September 28, 1935, died January 31, 2000. He leaves his caregivers, Rose and Paul Mucci of Youngstown; a brother, Frank Lombard of Poland, OH; a sister, Dora Candel of Niles, OH and numerous nieces and nephews in Mahoning and Trumbull counties. Four brothers, Carmen, John, Pat and Fred Lombard and four sisters, Miss Virginia, Mrs. Marian Skripac, Mrs. Angeline Barnes and Mrs. Philomena Allen are deceased.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard and 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Youngstown.

Friends may call at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home on Friday 6 to 8 PM.
