HUBBARD Nick "Futchy" Toda Jr., 80 of Hubbard, died Sunday evening, January 12, 2003, at Northside Medical Center. He was born August 28, 1922, in Hubbard, a son of Nick and Mary Zeicu Toda and was a life long Hubbard resident.

Mr. Toda was a welder for Powell Pressed Steel Corp. in Hubbard for over 40 years, retiring in 1984. He attended St. Patrick Church and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Hubbard Post 3767 and the Marconi Lodge of Hubbard. He was a 1940 graduate of Hubbard High School and held the rank of Sergeant with the Army in World War II where he was a tank commander. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He leaves a son, Michael Toda of Hubbard; a sister, Sophia Brown of Little Rock, AK. His parents, two brothers, Sam and Eli Toda and two sisters, Mary Yuhasz and Ann Sudon, preceded him in death.

There are no calling hours or funeral services.

In keeping with his wishes, his ashes will be scattered over a lake in Canada.
