HUBBARD Nick Cashier, 85, died on Wednesday morning, September 19, 2007, at Park Vista after an extended illness. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr.Cashier was born October 4, 1921 in Farrell, PA., a son of Carmen and Mary Guglielmi Cashier and was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Cashier graduated from Farrell High School in 1940 and worked at Westinghouse Electric Corp for forty years. He served in the U. S. Coast Guard as a motor machinist from October, 1942 to April, 1946 and was honorably discharged. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hubbard.
He leaves his wife, the former Rose Marie Angelo, whom he married on June 25, 1950; two sons, Robert (Mary Ann Szelest) Cashier of Liberty, Nicholas (Fran Beale) Cashier, Jr. of Russell; three grandchildren, Rebecca Cashier of Longbeach, CA., Graham and Sydney Cashier of Russell; three brothers, Anthony (Eleanor) Cashier of Sharon, PA., William (Jesse) Cashier of Hermitage, PA., and Carl (Barbara) Cashier of Sanford, NC.
Besides his parents, a brother, Eugene Cashier and a sister, Dorothy Chavka, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, 9:15 a.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.
Family and friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.
