CAMPBELL Nicholas Stadnyk, 87, died Sunday evening January 13, 2013 at the Woodlands at Austinwoods. He was born September 10, 1925 in Ukraine, a son of Gregory and Anastasia Hawryluk Stadnyk and came to the United States in 1949 settling in Campbell.
Mr. Stadnyk was a blacksmith for LTV Steel Co. Campbell Works for 29 years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church in Youngstown. Nicholas was a member of the Hubbard Senior Citizens and enjoyed playing cards.
His wife, the former Anna Lischak, whom he married in June of 1945, died in September 1974.
He leaves two daughters, Dorothy (John) Theisler of Austintown and Alexandria (Ronald) Tod of Hubbard; three grandchildren, Denise Bell of Macedonia, Diana Booth of Hubbard and Paul (Jennifer) Tod of Delaware; six great grandchildren, Kayla Kilar, Joshua Kilar, Aidan Bell, Keiran Bell, Jack Tod and Ryan Tod.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; a sister and a grandson, Adam Tod.
There are no calling hours or funeral services.
Interment will be at St. John Cemetery.
