HUBBARD Nicholas Raseta, 80 of Hubbard, died Friday afternoon, November 14, 2003, at Liberty Health Care Center. He was born March 30, 1923, in Coitsville Township, OH, a son of Adam and Mary Obluchar Raseta and was a life long area resident.
Mr. Raseta was a conductor for the P & LE Railroad for 42 years retiring in 1983. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hubbard and its Up and Going Sunday School Class. He enjoyed reading, traveling and was a Staff Sergeant with the Army in World War II serving in the Pacific Theater.
He leaves his wife, the former Laverne Stiver, whom he married November 10, 1943; a son, Thomas G. (Marla) Raseta of Hubbard; two daughters, Kathy Link of Stevensville, MD and Sharen Inskeep of Hubbard; two sisters, Ann (Michael) Yajich of Lowellville, OH and Virginia (Paul) Gulacy of Poland, OH; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
His parents, two brothers, Adam and Daniel Raseta and a sister, Sadie Sikusha, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, 5 to 8 PM.
