HUBBARD A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday August 30, 2018 at 7:00 PM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Swierz and Pastor Luke Oskin officiating for Nathan J. "Nate" Barwinski, 16, who died Sunday August 26, 2018 at his home. He was born July 22, 2002 in Youngstown a son of Donovan J. Barwinski and Teri M. Cratsley Evangelista and was a lifelong Hubbard resident.

Nate, a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church was a Junior at TCTC in the Air Force ROTC program and had worked as a cook at Burger King. He was a member of the Hubbard High School Drama Club, ran Cross Country and Track, played Soccer and Baseball. Nate enjoyed riding his bike all over town, spending time with his friends and hanging out at Jones Park playing basketball. He was very smart, maintaining a 4.0 GPA and planned on joining the Air Force after graduation.

He leaves his mother, Teri Evangelista of Hubbard, his father, Donovan J. Barwinski of Hubbard; two sisters, Amanda and Marlee Summerfield at home; maternal grandmother, Debbie (Shamblin) Johnson and her husband Robert Johnson; paternal grandparents, Thaddeus and Frances Barwinski and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Nate was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Getsy and his great grandparents.

Family and friends may call on Thursday August 30, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.

To honor Nate, the family requests casual dress and to please wear the color red.
