HUBBARD Michael "Gene" Noufer, 65, of Hubbard, died Saturday morning, July 19, 2003, at his residence. He was born July 14, 1938, in Coitsville Township, a son of Michael and Theresa Gettan Noufer and lived in the area for the past five years, coming from San Francisco, California.
Mr. Noufer, self-employed in construction for five years, was a 1956 graduate of Hubbard High School where he was co-salutatorian, was selected to Boys State, and was an Eagle Scout. He was a graduate of General Motors Institute and then worked at Packard Electric. Mr. Noufer left Packard to work for NATCO Plastic in Richmond, Indiana where he was vice president of sales. He then established his own company, MENCO, also located in Richmond, Indiana. He participated in various Richmond and Hubbard community activities.
In addition to his mother, Theresa Noufer, he leaves four sons, Michael (Vivienne) Noufer, of West Chester, Ohio, Mark (Jennifer) Noufer, of Cooper City, Florida, Matt (Andrea) Noufer, of Orlando Florida and Martin of New York City, NY; one daughter, Julie (Mark) Casso, of Great Falls, Virginia; one sister, Renee (James) Naughton, of Arvada, Colorado and nine grandchildren.
His father, Michael Noufer, preceded him in death.
No funeral services will be held.
