IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael J.
Humenny
March 8, 1962 – February 21, 2025
HUBBARD It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael John Humenny, who departed from this world on February 21, 2025 in Hubbard. Michael was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, whose life was defined by love, dedication and his commitment to his family.
Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Jane (Ashman) Humenny, with whom he shared 41 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, support and countless cherished memories. Michael was a proud father to his son, Justin (Allison) Humenny and his daughter, Chelsea (Cory) Donahue. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Declan and Delaney, who brought him immense joy and happiness. There was nothing he loved more than spending quality time with them, playing and creating moments that they would cherish forever. He also leaves his brother, William Humenny, sister, Donna (Dave) Millich, many brothers and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Mary Humenny, his much loved, mother and father-in-law, Dave and Rose Ashman and sister-in-law, Ruthie Humenny.
Having graduated from Hubbard High School, he embarked on a successful career of 45 years at Gasser Chair Company. Michael took great pride in his work, where he was recognized for his perfect attendance and strong work ethic.
He found joy in working alongside Jane in their yard, creating a warm and welcoming home. His favorite moments were spent with his grandchildren, who always looked forward to their time with "Papa". Michael's love for them was deep and unwavering.
Known for his generous spirit, Michael was always ready to lend a hand and help those he loved. His kindness and willingness to support others left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. He truly embodied the essence of community, always making time for family, friends and neighbors. Michael was also an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
In this time of grief, we remember Michael not just for the sorrow of his passing, but for the love he shared and the joy he brought into our lives. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him and his memory will be cherished forever.
