HUBBARD Michael C. Hicks Sr., 80, died peacefully Friday afternoon September 20, 2024 at Allegheny General Hospital. He was born November 21, 1943 in Pittsfield, MA a son of James Dwight and Nora Jane McCall Hicks and moved to Hubbard in 2000, coming from Severn, MD.

Mr. Hicks, a graduate of Colorado Springs High School, received his Associate's Degree from AACC. He served with the United States Air Force. Michael worked for the Department of Defense for 34 years and was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.

His wife, the former Sandra Lee Miller, whom he married May 28, 1966, died October 31, 2021.

He leaves a son, Michael C. Hicks Jr. and his wife Kathryn of Youngstown, a daughter, Stephanie M. Ripple and her husband, Donald Charles "Travis" of Glen Burnie, MD; five grandchildren, Robert, Mikey, Courtney, Corey and Patrick; six great grandchildren, Aiden, Ella, Aliah, Caleb, Nolen and Elizabeth.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Sandra.

A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday September 26, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church with The Very Rev. Michael Balash officiating.
