HUBBARD Medio Joseph Angelo, 90, of Hubbard, died Tuesday evening, September 12, 2006, at his residence. He was born on December 23, 1915, in Hubbard, a son of John and Mary DiBacco Angelo and was a lifelong Hubbard resident.
Mr. Angelo worked for Republic Steel Corporation for 41 years, retiring in 1975. He was a U. S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. A member of St. Patrick Church in Hubbard, he served as a church usher and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Msgr. Francis J. Hughes Council No. 2072 and the Knights of Columbus Bocce League. Medio was an avid gardener and golfer.
He leaves his wife, the former Josephine C. Carbone, whom he married on February 15, 1947; four sons, John (Fran) Angelo of Hubbard, Gary Angelo, Guy (Mary) Angelo of Hubbard and Joseph Angelo; two daughters, Sandra (Stanley Rycek) Angelo Acierno of Hubbard and Rose (Ron) Molinari of Moon Twp., PA; a sister, Lena Mortaro of Hubbard; a brother-in-law, Sam Gonder of Hubbard; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.
His parents and three sisters, Helen Pappa, Betty Herubin and Edith Gonder, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 9:15 a.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
