GIRARD MaryAnn H. Paladenic, 79, died Wednesday March 10, 2010 at Hospice House. She was born November 12, 1930 in Youngstown, a daughter of Marie Binder and Nicholas Jonesco and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Paladenic was a homemaker and a member of St. Patrick Church, Hubbard. She was a wonderful cook, providing many meals for her family and friends. MaryAnn had a great sense of humor, loved to crochet blankets for her family and also giving them as gifts to newborns of family and friends. Reading books and scrapbooking were also two of her favorite pastimes while being a devoted member of her family club.

MaryAnn loved her family more than anything; they meant everything to her. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

She leaves her husband, John P. Paladenic, whom she married May 7, 1949; it was a love story that began more than 60 years ago when they met while working at Idora Park. Two sons, John Jeffrey Paladenic of Jersey City, NJ and James (Crystal) Paladenic of Rochester, NY; three daughters, Denise (Edward James) Lockiec of Struthers, Janice (Joseph) Burkholder of McDonald and Patrice (James) Hughes of Hubbard; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Corrine Summers.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 9:15 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Church.

Family and friends may call on Friday, 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
