HERMITAGE, PA Mary E. Wilcox, 88, of Farrell, formerly of Hubbard, died on Wednesday morning, April 16, 2008 at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville, PA. She was born on October 4, 1919, in Greenville, PA, a daughter of Samuel S. and Estella A. Harpst Hollibaugh and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Wilcox, a homemaker, worked at Sharon Steel, during World War II. She was a 1937 graduate of West Middlesex High School, where she was the salutatorian. She was a member of the Lebanon Presbyterian Church in Greenville, and its Quilter Group. Mary enjoyed embroidering, crocheting and quilting.

Her husband, Clifford J. "Pep" Wilcox, whom she married on April 19, 1938, died on September 9, 1990.

She leaves two sons, John C. Wilcox of Hubbard and David W. Wilcox of Newton Falls; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, preceding her in death, were her parents, an infant daughter, three sisters, Martha McDowell, Carrie Sigler and Ruth Chovan and a brother, Samuel J. Hollibaugh.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
