HUBBARD Mary H. Sveth, 84, of Hubbard, died Saturday morning, June 7, 2008, at UPMC, Farrell, PA. She was born May 3, 1924, Hubbard, a daughter of Frank and Teresa Lysyk Senich and was a life long Hubbard resident.
Mrs. Sveth worked for Youngstown State University for 26 years retiring in 1992. She was a member of Holy Trinity Ukranian Catholic Church, Youngtown, where she was a founding member of St. Anne's Guild and volunteered in the bingo and pyrohi programs. Mary enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo and was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns
fan. Her greatest pleasures were spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her husband, John Sveth, whom she married June 15, 1946, died January 12, 1991. She leaves two daughters, Marilyn (Joseph) Combine of Sharpsville, PA and Susan (Rick) Wagner of Hubbard; six grandchildren, Denise Perfette, Scott Thompson-Graves, Lisa Fox, Rocco Combine, Keith Wagner and Stephani Wagner; six great grandchildren, Nicole, Natalie, Joseph, Sam, Jack and Hayden.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Kathleen Thompson, a great granddaughter, Makenna Fox, four brothers, Stephen, Alex, John, and William Senich and two sisters, Julia Hrybiniak and Ann Brak.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. where a prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m.
