HUBBARD Mary Homzy, 84, of Hubbard, died Tuesday evening, February 21, 2006, at Select Specialty Hospital. She was born January 15, 1922, in Youngstown, a daughter of Harry and Anna Suhar Fedeshen and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Homzy had worked for the Hubbard Public Schools System for 19 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of Holy Trinity Ukranian Catholic Church and its St. Ann's Guild. Mary enjoyed traveling and cooking.
Her husband, Paul Homzy, whom she married in 1946, died September 28, 1986.
She leaves a son, Jerry (Linda) Homzy of Hubbard; three grandchildren, Paul Homzy of Hubbard, Jerry Homzy and Brandy Miller, both of Colorado Springs, CO and 2 great-grandchildren, Macy Miller and Mia Miller, both of Colorado Springs, CO.
Her parents, a son, Paul Homzy and a brother, John Fedeshen, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, 10:00 a.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard and at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Ukranian Catholic Church in Youngstown.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home with a Parastas service at 4:00 p.m.
