HUBBARD Mary Jane "Murt" Heiss, 64, died Sunday, December 20, 2009 at Northside Hospital Medical Center. She was born June 29, 1945 in Michigan, a daughter of Edgar and Henrietta Houser Hivner and was a life long Hubbard resident.

Mrs. Heiss was a manager in the food and beverage industry for many years. She enjoyed gardening, loved the outdoors, NASCAR racing, the Dallas Cowboys and her puppy Sinbad.

She leaves a son, Thomas J. (Sue Bigany) Heiss of Girard; a daughter, Debra (Blaine Tinelli) Heiss of Hubbard; five brothers, John W. Hivner of St. Louis, MO, Dan Hivner of Memphis, TN, Larry Hivner of Hubbard, Carl Hivner of Youngstown and Christopher Hivner of New Castle, PA; three sisters, Nancy Young of Maryland, Peggy Phillips of Folkston, GA and Rebecca Wachtell of Hubbard; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Tami Engstrom, two sisters, Kate Vestal and Dodi Whorten, a brother, George Hivner and her beloved companion Dean Clifton.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 8:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
