HUBBARD Funeral services will be held Friday, January 3, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Sts. Peter & Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sharon, PA for Mary Frejd, 90, who died Sunday morning December 29, 2013 at Clepper Manor in Sharon, PA. She was born November 14, 1923 in Sharpsville, PA a daughter of John and Gizella Garaj Faber and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Frejd was employed by ACLD where she was a tutor for the learning disabled, and prior to that she worked for the Hubbard School District. Mary received her Bachelor of Science degree from Youngstown State University.
Mary was a lifelong member of Sts. Peter & Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sharon, PA where she served as church secretary, choir director for the children's choir, Sunday School teacher and was a member of the Altar Guild. She was also a member of the Hubbard American Legion #51 Woman's Auxiliary and the Hubbard Lyric Club.
Her husband, Oscar F. Frejd, whom she married on July 11, 1952, died September 25, 1974.
She leaves two daughters Nancy E. Frejd of Boardman and Janice E. (Steve) Pridon of Bessemer, PA and a grandson Mikael Pridon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Edward Faber.
Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home, and also one half hour before the services at Sts. Peter & Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church from 10:00 to 10:30 AM.
Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Sharon.
