HUBBARD Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 AM at Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home with Elder Phillip Shealey officiating for Mary J. Chislom, 65, formerly of Warren who died Thursday February 7, 2013 at her home. She was born June 29, 1947 in Warren, a daughter of Paul and Pennie Taylor Valentz and was a lifelong Warren resident.
Mrs. Chislom received her GED through Harding High School, was an Evangelist Minister at Mt. Calvary Church in Youngstown for 20 years. She was a member of the Greater Apostolic Faith Church in Warren where she was also an Evangelist Minister. Mary loved to play bingo and especially loved her grandchildren and her bird Tweety.
Mary leaves a son, Robert L. Purdy of Warren; three daughters, Lisa A. (William) Phillips of Hubbard, Pamela L. Motton of Hubbard and Carrie I. Purdy of Mineral Ridge; two brothers, Lewis Valentz of Farmdale and Eugene (Darlene) Valentz of Lillian, AL; a sister, Janice Lenhart of Warren; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 2 half brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James W. Purdy and a brother, Milton Bailey.
Family and friends may call on Sunday 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.
