Mary Jean Brockett 85 of Murrells Inlet, SC formerly of Hubbard

On June 4th there will be a memorial service at Hubbard Union Cemetery, starting at 10:30 am in memory of Jeanie.

Jeanie passed away, after a brief illness, on March 18th, 2011 at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet, SC surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 1, 1925 to the late Walter & Mary Ella (Collier) Brockett.

Upon graduating from Hubbard High she was employed by Protected Life Insurance Co in Sharon, Pa. After working there for several years she and a friend quit their jobs bought a car and took off to see the USA. Upon her return home she went to work at the then Valley Mould Co. She retired from there after nearly 40 years of service as Executive Secretary to the Vice President.

In 1987 she and her sister Inez Rolfe moved to Mt Gilead Place, Murrells Inlet, SC. It wasn't long before Jeanie went to work setting up golf packages for The Litchfield Golf Club thus filling one of the joys of her life "Golf."

Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers Ward Brockett of Hubbard and Earl "Husky" Brockett of Youngstown, two sisters Ella (Joseph) Gordon of Hubbard and Inez (Henry) Rolfe of Murrells Inlet, SC and two nieces
Joanie (Rolfe) Quinn of Dallas, Tx and Mary Kay (Gordon) Gurgovits of Hubbard.

Surviving her are two nephews, William (Mary Jane) Rolfe of Murrells Inlet, SC and Robert Brockett of Hubbard
and numerous and much loved nieces and nephews.

Jeanie loved the beach, golf, traveling but most of all her family.
