HUBBARD Mary B. Wilcox, 85, died Sunday evening February 11, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born September 15, 1938 at home in Youngstown, a daughter of Paul and Mary Hnat Balciar and had lived in Hubbard for 58 years.

Mrs. Wilcox, a graduate of Chaney High School was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Mary had worked for General Motors Fisher Body for 20 years, retiring in the early 90's. She and her husband John had bought the former Hackers Flowers Shop in 1968 and in 1973 opened East Hill Florist, retiring in 2005.

Mary enjoyed reading, bowling, doing puzzles, traveling, loved her dogs and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the American Business Women's Association.

Her first husband, Harry Coller, died May 9, 1964; her second husband, John Wilcox whom she married June 5, 1966, died June 18, 2013.

Mary leaves a son, Michael Wilcox and his wife Kendra of Hubbard; two daughters, Dr. Suzanne Wilcox and Tammy Wilcox both of Hubbard; a sister, Martha J. Balciar of Girard and two grandsons, Joshua and Benjamin.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband John.

Family and friends may call on Thursday February 15, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kelley-Cummins Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM with Deacon Bob Friedman officiating.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Patriot Homecare, Hospice of the Valley, and her private nurses who took exceptional care of Mary.

Interment will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
