HUBBARD — Marita A. Miklos passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the Hospice House in Poland. She was born on September 27, 1959, in Youngstown, the beloved daughter of John and Catherine (Bartos) Bednar.

A lifelong resident of Hubbard, Marita was a faithful member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. She was a 1977 graduate of Hubbard High School and went on to earn an Associate of Applied Business degree from Youngstown State University in 1979. Marita dedicated thirty years of her career to Butler Wick, where she worked in various positions within the accounting department, including as an accounting manager. She also spent eight years as an accounting manager at Farmers National Bank until her retirement in 2017.

Marita lived a life rooted in faith, generosity, and family. She was a member of Christian Healthcare Ministries, supported the K-Love Christian music ministry, and lovingly sponsored many children through Children's International. She enjoyed sports, especially tennis, but her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her grandchildren, whom she loved deeply and unconditionally.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Ron Miklos and his wife Rebecca of McDonald; her daughter, Susan Baldwin and her husband Brian of Canfield; her brothers, Kenneth Bednar and his wife Vicki, and John Bednar, all of Hubbard; her sister, Jacquelyn Zembrodt and her husband Greg of Seabrook, South Carolina; and her four cherished grandchildren; Hannah, Christopher, Oliver, and Marita.

Marita was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Michael Bednar; and her longtime partner, Martin Owens.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kelley-Cummins Funeral Home, where a memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM, with Deacon John Bartos officiating.
