HUBBARD Marion R. Balakoff, 81, of Hubbard, died Tuesday evening, May 2, 2006, at her residence. She was born October 4, 1924, in Hollywood, CA, a daughter of Harry C. and L. Pearl Black Davis and lived most of her life in the area.
Mrs. Balakoff was a homemaker and a member of Marion Heights Methodist Church in Campbell where she was a former Sunday school teacher. Marion enjoyed flowers, yard work, politics and playing cards.
Her husband, Michael Balakoff, whom she married September 1, 1945, died on June 10, 1996.
She leaves two sons, Michael D. (Margaret) Balakoff of Lowellville and Kenneth L. (Doris) Balakoff of Coitsville; two daughters, Bonnie L. (Harry A.) Ross of Hubbard and Linda Sue (Keith Roller) Glover of Masury; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, her parents and a sister, Louise Ifft, preceded her in death.
There will be a private funeral service for the family.
