HUBBARD Marie A. Ward, 95 of Hubbard, died Friday evening, March 28, 2003, at Autumn Hills Care Center. She was born February 18, 1908, in Scottdale, PA, a daughter of Albert J. and Ida Marie Melerson Anderson and lived most of her life in Hubbard.

Mrs. Ward worked for Sherwin Williams Company, Hubbard, for 23 years retiring in 1973. She was a member of the Corner House Christian Church and its Happy Wanderers, the Hubbard Rebekah Lodge No. 758 and it's Past Noble Grand Club, a charter member of Supreme Royal Zuanna Lodge No. 72 of Canfield and the Hubbard Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3767 Ladies Auxiliary. Marie was a former member of the Pythian Sisters and enjoyed crocheting, sewing and cooking.

Her husband, Edgar K. Ward, whom she married September 13, 1926, died November 20, 1982. She leaves one son, Kenneth R. Ward of Hubbard; one sister, Isabelle Perry of Fowler; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Her parents and two sisters, Helen Schidel and Vera Bartholomew, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Corner House Christian Church.

Friends may call at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home on Monday, 5 to 8 PM with the Rebekah Lodge holding a service at 7:30 PM and also at church on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
