NEW BEDFORD, PA Marie A. Edwards, 86, died Monday June 15, 2009 at Pembrook Place. She was born March 16, 1923 in Hubbard, a daughter of Ralph and Angeline Pratt Perline and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Edwards, a homemaker, was a member of Victory Christian Center, Lowellville and the Barnstone Ministry in New Bedford.

Marie loved riding the big green bus to WalMart in New Castle to see all of her friends, enjoyed going to senior citizen dinners and never missed church. She took care of her entire family, loved cooking for everyone and her specialties were hot peppers and Easter bread. Grandma Meme loved and was loved by everyone that she met.

Her husband, Bursy L. Edwards, whom she married April 18, 1964, died September 18, 1983.

She leaves three sons, Dave (Shay) Pittinger of New Bedford, Jack Edwards of New Bedford and Bursy �Butch� Edwards, Jr. of Poland; four daughters, Deanna (Bruce) Findley of Lorain, OH, Helen Harrold of New Castle, Linda Doyle of Kansas and Janet Petronek of Lowellville; two sisters, Theresa Knebel and Rose (Matt) Ashman Capezzuto both of Hubbard; 27 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Angelo, Frank, James, Tony, Ralph and Mike Perline; three sisters, Jennie Simeone, Annie Camuso and Antonette Amicone.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 11:00 AM at Victory Christian Center.
