Marguerite Elaine Campana, of Hubbard, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026. She was a loving wife, devoted sibling, cherished parent, and adoring grandparent whose life was defined by kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family.
Marguerite was born on August 5, 1947 in Youngstown a daughter of Michael and Kathryn Smith Mikita. She was a 1965 Hubbard High School graduate and a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, she attended Beauty School at Lewis Weinburger and Hill Beauty Academy, and was a self-employed cosmetologist, she also was a receptionist in the medical field. She most of all enjoyed going to see her grandchildren play sports and was always their biggest supporter, cheering in the stands so they could hear.
Marguerite is survived by her husband, Jerome R. Campana, whom she married September 13, 1969; her children, Jerome Michael Campana (Amy) and Melissa Welsh (Tim); her sisters, Kathryn Schlatter and Carol “Shortie” Mikita; and her grandchildren, Nicholas Campana, Shane Campana, Samuel Welsh, and Joseph Welsh.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathryn Mikita; her father, Michael Mikita; her brother, Michael Mikita; her cousin, Patricia Orr; and her nephew, Dr. Robert Orr.
Marguerite will be remembered for her generosity, gentle spirit, and the warmth she brought to all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the family she loved and the many lives she touched.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday March 17, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at The Kelley-Cummins Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday March 18, 2026 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church with the Very Reverend Michael Balash officiating.
