LIBERTY Margarete M. Etzold, 87, of Liberty, died Saturday, March 10, 2007, at her residence. She was born September 7, 1919, in Domnau, Germany, a daughter of Andreas and Elizabeth Mangel Doller and came to the United States in 1992.

Mrs. Etzold worked as a secretary for the Seitz Company in Germany for over 20 years, retiring in 1982. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and crocheting.

Her husband, Erhard Etzold, whom she married in1940, was killed in 1945 during World War II.

She leaves a daughter, Helga Hummel of Liberty; one sister, Lotte Parschauer of Germany; three grandchildren, Terry Hummel of Mineral Ridge, Don (Melissa) Hummel Jr. of Crown Point, IN and Heidi (Michael) Kisch of Brookfield; three great- grandchildren, Joshua Kisch of Brookfield, Haley Hummel of Mineral Ridge and Seth Hummel of Crown Point, IN.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard, with burial at Hubbard Union Cemetery immediately following the service.
