HUBBARD Margaret Audrey Rydar (Rydarowicz), 93, died Thursday morning, August 14, 2014, at Liberty Health Care Center. She was born October 7, 1920, in Youngstown, OH. She was the daughter of Charles and Cecilia LaVan.

She and her now deceased husband, Stanley, were longtime residents of Hubbard before moving to Arizona in 1974, where they lived for over 25 years. They returned to Hubbard in 1999 and were members of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. With her good friend, Ella Marie Budno, she volunteered every Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, until her recent illness.

She raised a family and also had a career, first as secretary at Niles Aluminum Casting Company and then as office manager and bookkeeper for DeBald Office Supplies, both in Youngstown. She was a graduate of Ursuline High School. She learned a great deal about cactus gardens and enjoyed entertaining friends with Stan's homemade Polish sausage, smoked in their own back yard. She studied ceramics and painting and was an avid knitter and quilter.

She leaves her sons, John Stanley Rydarowicz, of Leetonia, and Francis Jerome Rydarowicz (wife Jean), of Hubbard, and daughter, Kathleen Rydar-Boyden of San Francisco, CA. She also leaves her sister, Kathleen Brooks, of Hubbard and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Louise Kruppa and Agnes Wissinger.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Timothy H. O'Neill officiating. The family will receive friends at the church, beginning at 9:30 AM. Following the service will be a celebration of life luncheon for family and friends, also at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Patrick School scholarship program, 38 East Water St., Hubbard, OH 44425.

The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff of Liberty Arms Assisted Living and Liberty Health Care Center for the expert care she received in recent months.
