Margaret Goterba's Obituary


HUBBARD Margaret Frances Goterba, 85, died Tuesday evening June 5, 2012 at Woodlands at Austinwoods Nursing Home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born February 10, 1927 in Hubbard a daughter of Carl and Dorothy Brown Wittenauer and was a lifelong Hubbard resident.

Mrs. Goterba retired as a bookkeeper for Masters Tuxedo and was a sales clerk for Kitty's Fashions. She was a member of St. Patrick Church, where she was a money counter and a member of the Disciples of Mary. Marge was a member of the Hubbard Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3767 Women's Auxiliary where she served as President for many years. She was also a member of the Hubbard Garden Club and volunteered at Northside Hospital. Her husband, Dale E. Goterba whom she married May 10, 1947, died November 28, 2003.

She leaves a son, Richard (Sue Ann) Goterba of Hubbard; two daughters, Lynn S. (Steven) George of Oxnard, CA and Mary Beth Foltz of Hubbard; four brothers, Edward Wittenauer of Kent, WA; Charles Wittenauer of Hubbard, Jerry (Barb) Wittenauer of New Middletown and Jim (Shirley) Wittenauer of Vienna; three sisters, Rose (Gene) Yuhas of Struthers, Martha (Robert) Tygart of Shirley, AR and Joan (Frank) Clark of Baton Rouge, LA; nine grandchildren, Jason, Brian (Cindy), Frances, Jennifer, Jamie (Erica), Jessica, Amanda, Lisa and Allison and seven great grandchildren. Her great grandson Patrick was very special to her and visited her often in her special place, she loved him so very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Catherine Joan Goterba.

Funeral services will be held Monday 1:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home and 1:30 PM at St. Patrick Church with the Rev. Timothy O'Neill officiating.

Family and friends may call on Monday 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3695 Boardman Canfield Rd., Canfield, OH 44406 or to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512.

Interment will take place at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
