BOARDMAN A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday July 5, 2016 at 1:30 PM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church for Margaret C. "Peggy" Engel, 92, who passed away peacefully Thursday evening June 30, 2016 at her sister's home with her sister and brother-in-law by her side. She was born June 5, 1924 in Pittsburgh, PA a daughter of Francis J. and Margaret M. Grimm Engel and moved to Youngstown in 1929.

Peggy was a 1942 graduate of Ursuline High School and a member of St. Luke Catholic Church. She retired from the Chancery Office of the Diocese of Youngstown in 1986 and previously was a secretary for Penn-Ohio Towel. Peggy was past President of STAFF Club and past President of the Yo-Mah-O Chapter of Professional Secretaries.

She leaves a brother, Robert H. (Sandra) Engel of Andover; one sister, Dorothy J. (Tom) Bonaquist of Hubbard with whom she made her home the last few years; 13 nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She also leaves her best friend of many years Marion J. Smith of Boardman.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Francis John Engel Jr. and three sisters, Bernadette Eich, Marion Moore and Joanne Manko.

Family and friends may call one hour prior to the funeral services on Tuesday July 5, 2016 from 12:30 to 1:30 PM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
